Ahmed AlJelwah is the Chairman of the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability, and the acting Director of Corporate Maintenance Services Department in Saudi Aramco. Within Saudi Aramco, Ahmed leads the company’s maintenance, reliability, and asset management governance. In addition to having oversight of the overall company’s maintenance and reliability performance, his role spans from establishing and driving Saudi Aramco’s corporate policies in this area, acting as the proponent of asset management systems and technologies, and the proponent of the company’s maintenance services contracts. For over a decade, Ahmed has driven numerous company maintenance transformational projects, such as the award winning Total Plant Reliability Management Program and the President’s Maintenance & Reliability Excellence Award, which have contributed to positioning Aramco as a leading company in this field. Throughout his career, he assumed a number of roles in the maintenance and reliability domain within the company, mostly in Upstream, Industrial Services, and Community Services. On the global front, Ahmed is a Board Member of the Global Forum for Maintenance & Asset Management, where he is either leading or contributing to specific projects and initiatives that are targeted at advancing the maintenance and asset management industry at a global scale. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Management from the University of Edinburgh, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California, and a Graduate Diploma of Law from BPP University. Ahmed has attended a number of management and leadership programs, including the Harvard Business School Young Leaders Program, the London Business School Strategy and Finance Program, the Wharton Advanced Leadership Simulation Program, and Stanford University’s Leadership Readiness Assessment for Directors Program.
