In line with the objectives and strategy of the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability GSMR holds several events in the Sultanate of Oman
A joint event was organized between the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability (GSMR) and one of the largest oil companies in the Sultanate of Oman, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), in line with the objectives and strategy of the Society. The Vice Chairman of the Society, Eng. Mahmood Mirza, gave an overview of the Society’s achievements and objectives, and the Chairman of the Training Committee, Eng. Hussein Al Ali, gave a detailed presentation on the Society’s specialized training and professional qualification programs.
As part of the event, an important cooperation agreement was signed with the Oman Society of Engineers, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange between the two societies in the fields of reliable maintenance and asset management and promoting joint professional development.
Engineer Fouad bin Abdullah Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Society of Engineers, delivered a speech in which he said that the Society is proud of the joint cooperation with the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability and that we seek to advance the engineering profession in the Sultanate of Oman through projects that are consistent with the Society’s objectives.
The event also witnessed an important panel discussion, where the attendees interacted and expressed their admiration. During the discussion, important issues and challenges in the field of reliable maintenance and asset management were discussed, and opinions and experiences were exchanged between the participants. This panel discussion reflects the association’s keenness to enhance communication and encourage interaction between its members and engineers in the same fields, as the panel included Eng. Faiza Al-Zadjali, a member of the GSMR Board of Directors.
This event comes as part of the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability’s efforts to enhance professional cooperation and knowledge exchange, and is expected to contribute to enhancing the capabilities and development of engineers and promoting progress in the field of engineering, maintenance reliability and asset management in the region.
