The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability, Saad Ibrahim Al-Shamrani, revealed to "Al-Bilad Al-Eqtisadi" that the society is offering a professional certificate that is compatible with international standards and is granted to maintenance and reliability specialists, explaining that the certificate qualifies its holders to perform their work with complete professionalism, which is reflected in their excellence in working in the maintenance field, as well as maintaining their safety, stressing that the qualified person performs his work in a professional and safe manner. Al-Shamrani said that since the establishment of the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability in 2010, it has aimed to develop the region in the field of maintenance, reliability and trustworthiness, especially since this field was not focused on before 2010.

The society’s focus contributed to introducing developments in the field of maintenance, reliability and trustworthiness in a unified manner and standards and exporting them to all companies in the region and abroad. Since its establishment, the society has begun organizing and holding the 6th Middle East Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Management Conference and Exhibition "Maintcon". This year, the conference has turned into an international conference, which indicates that the workshops, training and events organized at the conference are in line with international standards. It also reflects the great development that has occurred since 2010 until today in less than 12 years through the efforts of a group of Gulf youth. The society has become under the umbrella of a global association under which 14 associations from different countries of the world fall. It is noteworthy that the "Maintcon" conference and exhibition has been held in the Kingdom of Bahrain every two years since 2010, organized by the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability and the Bahrain Society of Engineers, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Oil and Environment and with the support of Saudi Aramco and the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO).
