Al-Shammasi, ambassador for reliability culture, receives international award
Cincinnati, Ohio (U.S.) — Playing an important role in operational excellence are our maintenance and reliability professionals who have the skills and certification to watch over the company's growing number of assets. Nezar Al-Shammasi, head of Corporate Maintenance Services and who was recently recognized with a Veteran Professional Award by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), emphasized this during the organization's 23rd annual conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the U.S. Al-Shammasi received the award for his contribution to the industry over his 30-plus year career with Saudi Aramco. Recognized as a leader for his commitment and enthusiasm toward building the next generation of practitioners and professionals with maintenance, reliability, and physical asset management skills, he has been a virtual ambassador for building a reliability culture within the company, the region, and the industry.
Working with people of character
